Kathy has had two and a half years experience working with philanthropists and brokering giving to arts and cultural projects in Queensland. In her role as Queensland Manager, Artsupport Australia, Australia Council for the Arts, she achieved the following:
- Advised 10 deductible gift recipient applicants and equivalent number of tax concession charity applicants.
- Advised Trustees of 2 Foundations
- Organised seminar for Private Ancillary Fund owners and their advisers.
- Provided 3 Queensland Private Ancillary Fund owners with a brokering service resulting in over $1 million in gifts.
- Advised 4 Queenslanders who are in the process of establishing Private Ancillary Funds.
Kathy has assessed grants for ANZ Trustees as a freelance adviser, Sylvia & Charles Viertel Foundation.
She is former Executive Director, Queensland Community Foundation and has 20 years nonprofit experience and postgraduate Business qualifications from Queensland University of Technology’s Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies.
